Moving and Copying a Virtual Appliance
Abiquo is a multi hypervisor cloud platform, and its V2V convertion process allows user to move or copy any Virtual Appliance between Virtual Datacenters of same Physical Datacenter, even if they have different hypervisors.
 | Before copying or moving To perform a copy or move, the Virtual Appliance must be undeployed. |
Move or copy operations can be executed with a simple drag & drop as explained below:
- To Move, simply drag and drop from the Virtual Appliance from one Virtual Datacenter to another.
- To Copy, click the SHIFT button on the keyboard and drag and drop from one Virtual Datacenter to another.
Before the process begins, the following confirmation popup appears showing the process information:
Precontitions to Move and Copy opearations
Before the copy or move process can be started, there are a set of preconditions that must be accomplished:
- The virtual appliance must be in state and substate NOT_DEPLOYED.
- The actions only can be executed between Dirtual Datacenters with the same Physical Datacenter.
- Each Virtual Machine in the Virtual Appliance is evaluated as describes the following diagram:
