How to attach to an ISO repository on ESX
1. Log in to the ESX host:
2. Click the Configuration tab and select Storage under Hardware:
3. Click Add Storage and select Network File System and click Next:
4. Enter values similar to the screenshot below. These are only examples. The ISO repository must already exist. If these values are not known then you must get them from your System or Network Administrator.
- Server: nas.abiquo.com This is the repository holding the ISOs that virtual machines will utilize. The server hostname or IP address can be used.
- Folder: /nfs/ISOs This is the share on the above server that’s exporting the mount point.
- Datastore Name: ISOs This is a friendly name given to the above share. It can be anything descriptive.
NOTE: The mount point can optionally be mounted read only by selecting the checkbox next to “Mount NFS read only.”
5. Clicking next will yield the final dialog box, displaying a summary:
6. Clicking the Finish button will show that the mount point is properly mounted (read only in this case):
