Configure Network

Once the network is configured, to configure the Abiquo Storage Pool, open the nexenta console at https://<nexenta_url>:2000 and follow the wizard. The following images describe an example configuration of the Abiquo Storage Pool:

Storage pool name
The pool name must be set to abiquo. It is important to use this name when creating the volume (as shown in the wizard screenshots below).
Abiquo expects Nexenta to have a volume named abiquo and will create the zvols there.

Login as admin user

Install the Abiquo agent

Nexenta 2 still supports ZFS and is compatible with the OpenSolaris Agent. If you are installing a Nexenta 2 Storage system, please refer to the OpenSolaris agent installation page.
The following steps are only for Nexenta 3 systems.

  • /lib/svc/method/zfswsd
  • /opt/zfsws/zfsws.sh

And set the JAVA_BIN variable to point to the location of the java executable.

Verify service dependencies before installing it

Verify that service dependencies are online

If any of the previous services is offline, enable it using:

Enable service dependencies

Install the service

Install the service

Manage Abiquo agent

Manage the installed service

Enable and start the service
Verify service status
Disable and stop the service

Execute Standalone agent (if not using the service)

Run Nexenta standalone
